700 kg and 400 bhp match finely

Can a car accelerate as well as a motorcycle? Some extraordinary cars, such as Ariel Atom, have already proven that it can, but why not reinforced the idea once in a while? This is what the new IFR Aspid does. And it does that pretty well.

The little car weights 700 kg, but it is powered by a 400 bhp turbocharged 2-litre engine. Going directly to the point, Aspid has been built to be quick. With a mark of 2.8 seconds to reach 100 km/h from standstill, it is very difficult to find anyone who would not say this is quick enough. Top speed has not been revealed, but we can guess it is well beyond 250 km/h.

Short and light, Aspid is nonetheless luxurious. It does not have a regular dashboard, but touch screens that allow the driver to change rev limit, valve timing, power output, steering assistance, traction and stability controls, ABS, noise valve, brake balance, ride height and damping characteristics.

No word has been said on prices, so far, but they shall not be low, considering the car’s performance and the quality it offers. More technical specs are also missing, but they shall be revealed when the Aspid goes on sale. If only we knew when that is going to be…

oh well.. the wheels aren't inside the car body just like the caterham. otherwise, it looks quite different and a lot more modern than the caterham.

See it is much more modern looking then the Caterham, but the overall shape is pretty much identical to the Caterham. It doesn't have to look like that, just look at the plymouth prowler or the allard j2x.

So this sort of like the Donkervoort D8 GT...

But unlike the Donkervoort, its not based on the lines of the Caterham 7.

Just leave the damn car the way it is. Even though it's a 1960's Lotus Seven, it still looks great they way it is. It doesn't really need to look modern. doesn't need curvy lines or shaped headlights.

haha pull up beside a veyron and pwn it to 60 :D how fun would that be. Then the veyron would obviously kill it after but at least u beat it at something :D

True, assuming the Veyron isn't gunning it. After all, the Veyron can sprint to 62mph in 2.5s...

I think the Aspid will be quicker than the veyron just after the traffic lights, but its another story for the 1/4 mile dragstrip.

Admirable feat of engineering, but not very good looking which is a shame.
